The Criterion in Time: Criterion Businesswoman Of The Week

Mrs. Joyce Shelton was chosen the businesswoman of the week because she has striven to have the biggest Black newspaper and magazine stand in Erie County.

Joyce has all kinds of Black newspapers and magazines on sale. Her stand is located at East Ferry St., at Jefferson Ave. She has the public's interest at heart, helping them to be informed on current information.

She was born in Lackawanna, and at an early age, moved to Buffalo, with her parents, the late Ashley and Annie Hargrove, a well-known and much loved family.

Joyce is a member of Friendship Baptist Church, 402 Clinton St., where the Rev. A. Charles Ware, is the Pastor. She is a wonderful and hard-working church person.

Mrs. Shelton asks that you stop in and pick up a copy of your newspaper or magazine.
