Thank you to everyone who signed my petition

Thank you, to the 2,460 Democrat, Republican, Green, Working Families, Conservative and Independent voters who signed my petition to qualify me to run in the November 4th General Election on the Restore Buffalo line.
I am a Democrat. How ever, my petition to run in the June Primary was challenged by my oppo nent, and my petition was determined to be 51 signatures short of the required amount. I had to go to court in order to stay in the June Primary. I did not have the money it would have taken to fight my opponent’s charges, so I dropped my bid to remain in the June Primary and, instead, started focusing on getting all registered voters to get involved in my campaign to make the November General Election.
I am forever grateful to all the signers, which included voters from all political par ties and also, unaffiliated voters in the 2nd Legislative District in Buffalo. I am hoping that they will take that spirit of inclusion and nonpartisanship into the November General Election and vote to Restore Betty Jean Grant to the Erie County Legislature.
Democratic values and priorities. But sometimes one has to ask for help from all voters within one’s political unit. I am glad I did. In this endeavor, personally securing the signatures of over 1,000 voters, I met a lot of voters I would not have talked to or known if I had not met all of those wonderful voters who happily signed my petition. Thank you and best wishes to us, and to Buffalo and Erie County.
