Shannon Not So Sharp

I’m not one to gossip but I can’t help putting my two cents in the Shannon Sharp scandal that has been dominating the celebrity news media. Most have heard the grimy details in the case against Sharp, who is being sued for 50 million dol lars by a 21-year-old “snow bunny “and “Only Fans Model.” I didn’t know what Only Fans was, so I had to ask a couple friends to explain it to me. It’s essentially a high-tech digital internet prostitution website. Who knew?

I must say, I like Shannon Sharp. I enjoy watching his Club Shay Shay Podcast and his sport analysis punditry; so, I’m not writing this to drag him down, because I’ve lived long enough to know some men are willing to risk fame and fortune over sex. There is certainly nothing new or surprising to see a prominent black man being brought to their knees over sex.

Apparently, Shannon has an affliction many black men, especially rich and famous superstar black men have. I think Spite Lee called it “Jungle Fever.” No doubt, Shannon likes Snow Bunnies. I’m not going to drag him for that because back in the day I’ve had a few snow bunnies hop into my life like most black men have… I think; so, I’d be a hypocrite to condemn him for that.

I’m going to say something that many will not like. I under stand why some brothers like snow bunnies. It’s a self-esteem thing. When a white woman chooses a black man it because she wants him for being just that— a black man. In a world that views black men as worth less, she makes him feel worth. It’s a self-esteem thing.

I’m also not going to dog the 53-year-old Sharp for the girl’s age differences. No one said anything incriminating when the 73-year-old former New England Patriots Head coach, Bill Belichick popped out with a 26-year-old chickadee last year. Or when the 80-year-old Patriots owner Robert Craft was caught receiving services at an Asian massage parlor in 2017. Old buzzard!

I’m not even going to judge him for his freaky deaky sex predilections. Everybody whistles to their own tunes. But I am going to call him out for being too dumb not to see he was being set up to be brought down. Shannon had to under stand he’s a black celebrity mil lionaire that the world automatically puts a big target on his back. He should have known that in this internet age where “big brother” is everywhere and the right to privacy is nonexis tent, he was bound to get bet in the butt sooner or later.

Hold up…. As I write this, there is Breaking News! — Another snow bunny has hopped on the Shannon Sharp money train for a ride. Shan non is in big trouble, Stay tuned because it’s not over.
