Catholic Charities Now Accepting Applicants for C-Tech Training

BUFFALO, N.Y.– Catholic Charities is now accepting applicants for its C-Tech, Introduction to Telecommunications, class. This 12-week, hands-on technology training program offers nationally recognized certifications in telecommunications, network cabling for copper and fiber optics and 5G systems, along with grounding and bonding.

Classes begin June 30 and run Mondays through Thurs days from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the New Hope Education Center at Harvest House, located at 175 Jefferson Ave., Buffalo. Interested individuals are welcome to enroll between Monday, June 23, through Thursday, June 26, during the hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Harvest House. A photo ID is required for enrollment.

“There is a need for qualified workers in the telecommunications and network cabling field, and our C-Tech program prepares participants to enter this in-demand job market,” said Rikki Nawotka-Ace, senior director of workforce development, Catholic Charities. “This training is an excellent opportunity to gain footing in a growing industry and is ideal for young adults just starting out and older adults looking for a career change.”

As part of its education and workforce training programs, Catholic Charities also offers tutoring, high school equivalency, job readiness skills, and help with entering college and vocational programs.
