Driving Change Together: Univera Healthcare Opens 2026Health Equity Award Applications

BUFFALO, NYUnivera Healthcare has opened the application portal for its 2026 Health Equity Innovation Awards, inviting nonprofit organizations to apply for funding that supports innovative, community-based solutions to reduce health disparities and improve health outcomes. This year, Univera Healthcare will partner with the Health Foundation for Western & Central New York on the Health Equity Innovation Awards, with the Health Foundation providing additional funds to enhance the impact of the program.

Eligible 501(c)(3) organizations within Univera Healthcare’s service area can apply online at UniveraHealthcare.com. The application period runs from Wednesday, January 14 at 10:00 a.m. through Friday, March 6 at 11:59 p.m.

Funding priorities include:

  • Managing chronic conditions

  • Improving maternal health

  • Supporting mental and behavioral health

  • Addressing social determinants of health

Awards will recognize programs that demonstrate measurable impact and innovation, such as introducing new approaches, leveraging technology, or building meaningful collaborations.
