CanAm Freedom Ride Will Celebrate Friendship & Freedom
Community Cycling Event for Ages 18+
Niagara River Greenway, East Side Bike Club, and the Rotary Clubs of Western New York and Fort Erie are excited to announce the upcoming CanAm Freedom Ride, taking place on Saturday, October 4, 2025. This international cycling event is free, open to the community, and supported by Friends of Freedom Park, Highmark, Clean Mobility Buffalo, Buffalo United Front, the Rotary Clubs of Fort Erie and Western New York as well as Niagara Parks and the Peace Bridge Authority.
The CanAm Freedom Ride is 14.4 mile cycling journey designed to promote U.S.–Canada friendship while honoring black history and the courageous individuals who sought freedom via the Underground Railroad by crossing the Canadian border.
Event Schedule:
9:00–9:30 AM – Check-in and registration at Freedom Park, Buffalo (14211)
10:00 AM – Ride departs from Freedom Park, Buffalo, crossing the Peace Bridge to Fort Erie
10:30 AM – Coffee/snack break at Freedom Park, Fort Erie, followed by a ride along the Friendship Trail
12:30 PM – Riders return to Freedom Park, Buffalo, and enjoy complimentary food
Registration & Details:
Participants must register in advance at: https://CanAmBikeRide25.eventbrite.com.
Pre-registration is required to cross the Peace Bridge and includes a free lunch after the ride.
Participants who contribute $50 or $100 to support the event (providing bike helmets and fishing kits for kids) will receive a complimentary CanAm Ride long-sleeve shirt. A limited number of shirts will also be available for purchase on the day of the ride.
This event is open to ages 18+. A valid passport or enhanced license is required to cross the Canadian border.
