Buffalo, NY – Erie County Legislator Taisha St. Jean Tard will host a “Register to Vote” Coffee Shop Series at three local cafés across the city.
WHO: Erie County Legislator Taisha St. Jean Tard
WHAT: Register to Vote Coffee Shop Series – On-site voter registration and civic engagement outreach
WHEN & WHERE:
Monday, August 11 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Tipico Coffee & Cafe 1084 Elmwood Avenue Buffalo, NY 14222
Tuesday, August 12 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Healing Grounds Café 220 Grant Street Buffalo, NY 14213
Thursday, August 14 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM EM Tea Cup Café 80 Oakgrove Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14208
This initiative aims to register new voters in relaxed, community-centered spaces, recognizing that many residents, especially younger and middle-aged people, lead busy lives fueled by morning coffee. By partnering with cafés on the West Side, East Side, and in the Elmwood Village, the Legislator hopes to reach a broad and diverse cross-section of Buffalo’s population.
“When the federal government feels so broken, it’s easy to check out. But that’s exactly when we need to lean in,” said Legislator St. Jean Tard. “Registering to vote is a small but powerful way to take control.”
