74th anniversary at the Class V Banquet Center

On June 26th, the Bennett Wells American Legion Post 1780, at 1356 East Delevan Avenue celebrated its 74th anniversary at the Class V Banquet Center on Niagara Falls Boulevard. Elder V.C. Patton is the 3rd Vice Commander of the Erie County American Legion and served as guest speaker. Awards were also presented as new offices were filled. The Bennett Wells post made history when it elected its first female Commander, Lovetta Howard. The first photo shows Commander Howard. The second photo shows the Current Commander, Lovetta Howard, and former Commanders Walter Cole and Hank Jernigen.
