After More Than 30 Years Virgil Avenue Tobacconist to Close April 30

Bob Colasanti, owner of Virgil Avenue Tobacco nist, announced that the shop will close at the end of April. For more than 30 years Virgil Avenue Tobacconist has been a mainstay of the Hertel Avenue business district, and one of the premier destinations for premium cigars, pipe tobacco, and accessories.

Colasanti said: “The decision to close is bittersweet, but the time is right. For 33 years I’ve helped friends and customers celebrate mile stones, watched the evolution of Hertel Avenue and the greater Buffalo region, and with the help of the community, raised more than $100,000 for charity.”

A closeout sale will take place until April 30th including cigars, tobacco, accessories, shop fixtures and memorabilia. Stop in and grab your piece of Virgil Avenue history!

Colasanti reminds customers to redeem any gift certificates prior to April 30th.

Colasanti concluded: “I want to thank our customers and the com munity for the decades of support and friendship. It has been my privilege to be here for you and espe cially to get to know so many of you. I will miss it, but I’m looking forward to enjoying retirement.”
