Amherst, NY — Xi Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® proudly awarded the Georgie Stokes Walker Scholarship to Karrington Mann and Allen Smith, both students from the City Honors School, during a luncheon held on Sunday, June 14 at 1:00 PM at the Rev. Dr. Bennett W. Smith Sr. Family Life Center, 833 Michigan Street, Buffalo, NY 14203.

Established in honor of Georgie Stokes Walker, the scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to community service. It concludes a five-year endowment that awarded $5,000 in scholarships to 10 college-bound students and reflects her belief in expanding access to higher education for those with the greatest need.
