American Legion Post 1780 Honors Local Scholarship Recipients

This year’s scholarship winners are: Seated: Nen Jareefah (University at Buffalo), Mykah Moreland (Canisius University), and Uchechi Ezenwa (Purdue University). Standing: Delores Williams, Barbara Brenkenridge, Davion Becker (Erie Community College), Mohiyudin Hassan (Erie Community College), and L Howard. One additional unpictured scholarship recipient, Sharifa Abdi.

On Sunday, August 3, the Bennett Wells American Legion Post 1780, located at 1356 E. Delavan Ave., presented its annual Lillian Hundley Scholarships to six outstanding high school seniors during a special awards ceremony. Each recipient received a $500 scholarship to support their college education. The Bennett Wells American Legion Post 1780 extends its congratulations to all of the scholarship recipients and wishes them continued success as they pursue their higher education goals.
