Area Clerics to Lead Community-Wide Prayer

A group of faith leaders from religious com munities serving the Buffalo area will participate in prayers for our City, Nation and all impacted by the Tops mass shooting three years ago.

This solemn time of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Frank E. Mer riweather, Jr. Library, 1324 Jefferson Avenue, Buffalo, NY from 10:00AM to 12:00 Noon.

Prayers for our City and Nation include:

  • Local and National Leadership – Pastor, Cory Gibson

  • Community Unity and Economic Stability – Rev. Dr. Kinzer M. Pointer

  • Racial Reconciliation – Rabbi Alex Lazarus-Klein

  • Education & Health care – Pastor C.J. Rolle

  • Safety and Environ mental – Iman Fajri Ansari

  • Spiritual Revival- Pas tor, Kimberly Gladden

  • Social Justice - Rev. Dr. Robert Lowe

The final prayer for families, friends and Tops employees and all impact ed by the 2022 mass shooting will be offered by Rev. Dr. T. Anthony Bronner.

The prayer meeting will commence with a Color Guard presentation from Jesse Clipper Post 430 and performances from:

  • Pastors Valerie Foye, Tracey Foye-Green and Psalmist Darcel Blue

  • Brian K. Freeman, Musician and

  • Muhammad School of Music

The event is being sponsored by Jericho Road Community Health Center, Project Lab and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. All are invited.
