At Western New York Book Arts Center 18th Annual Edible Book Festival
Buffalo, N.Y.— Western New York Book Arts Center is proud to announce our 18th Annual Edible Book Festival, to be held at 468 Washington Street in down town Buffalo on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, from 11am-2pm. We want to know: What does your favorite book taste like?
The Edible Book Festival is a family-friendly, international festival held annually on or around April 1, inviting participants to create EDIBLE creations inspired by a book. Edible Book creations are ranked by local ‘celebrity judges’ and the winning artist chefs are awarded with surprise prizes. Then we eat our words! All are welcome to partake in eating the books after winners are announced.
The Edible Book Fes tival is fun for all ages. In addition to the edible book exhibition, com petition, and ingestion, festivities include basket raffles, literary vendors and hands-on bookmaking and printmaking workshops in our studio.
Create an Edible Book for YOUR chance to win prizes!: Registration is OPEN until Friday, March 27th (9pm) to enter a 100% edible & handmade Edible Book. Community members of all skill levels and ages are encouraged to submit. We have two age categories, Youth & Family’ and ‘Adult.’ The submission fee is $8 ($5 for Book Arts members). Those who submit an Edible Book to the con test receive two free admissions.
