Week 10 of the WNY Boy’s High School Football Sectional Championship Chase is being brought to our very own backyard, with the Semifinal match up now being set to feature two of the City of Buffalo’s premier high school football programs.
The game is set to kick off Friday November 6th at 7:30pm at All High Stadium “Lewis J. Bennett school of innovative technology High School” located at 2885 Main St Buffalo, NY. The field is located at the rear of the school.
This Class AA matchup sets two cross town school rivals in an inevitable battle for the crown of our proud city.
Two rivals where the matchup seems almost like a tale from the movies with players from both side’s being familiar with one another due not only too the rivalry, but also having had played in the Buffalo’s youth football scene with and against each other.
The second factor to this matchup in the making is that Health sciences/Buffalo academy of sciences, Head football coach Tyree Parker and many other of the staff for health sciences Falcons were at one point or another assistant coaches on the Bennett tigers staff.
Last but not least the two teams had a showdown earlier this season where the Bennett Tigers took home a 24-18 win at Health sciences home field with an ending that made the game feel too close for comfort.
With all that unpacked, you can see why this is a heated matchup! Whoever stands tall at the end of this heated battle gets to represent there school in the Class AA sectional championship game against the winner Jamestown vs Lancaster. That championship game will be held UB stadium November 13th at 8:00pm.
To give you guys a slight preview of what both teams have accomplished in recent years and what they both bring to the table.
