Bennett High School Celebrates 100th Anniversary

The Centennial Week end celebration of Lewis J. Bennett High School will be held on September 19-21, 2025. With a theme of “Cherishing the Past, Celebrating the Present, Embracing the Future”, alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends continue to sup port the school’s commitment to excellence.

The celebration kick off begins on Fri day, September 19th at 5:00 p.m. with an Antique Car Show on the school’s front lawn, an Open House Recep tion, Silent Auction, and conclude with the 20th Annual Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

On Saturday, September 20th, the morning begins with a Blue and Orange Homecoming Parade at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Bennett Tigers football game at All-High Stadium at 11:00 a.m. Recognition of past Bennett athletes and cheerleaders will take place at halftime. The 100th Anniversary Gala and Dinner Dance will take place at the Buffalo/Niagara Convention Center at 5:00 p.m. Music will be provided by the Larry Salter Orchestra and Vibrant Strings. Sanford Greenberg, class of ’58 will be honored as the 2025 Centennial Out standing Alumni. Mr. Greenberg is an Ameri can inventor, author, philanthropist, and best known for his efforts toward ending blindness.

The Weekend concludes on Sunday, September 21st at the Marriott LECOM at 11:30 a.m. with a Centen nial Alumni Brunch and Annual meeting. The induction of our Ben nett Alumni Honor Roll recipients who have distinguished themselves in their careers will take place, followed by the Annual Alumni Meeting, and our culminating event for our 100th Anniversary Weekend, a commemorative time capsule that will be sealed to be opened at the 125th Anniversary in 2050.
