Book Lending Library Needs Support through Donation of Books

Donations of adult and children’s books, both fiction and nonfiction by black authors are greatly needed to pass out at this year’s 2026 Juneteenth and other festivals and book bag giveaways.

Mr. Jerry Bowman, post member and founder of the Johnetta R. Cole Am Vets Post 24 Book Lending Library has appeared at these events and had great success in giving away books that he has collected, and feels that it is important for the community to preserve our heritage through books.

These are critical times and we (community must continue to fight back the “Critical Race Theory” by donating books.
