BUFFALO FUNK FEST

The Buffalo Funk Fest saw a capacity crowd on August 23rd, between East Utica and Glenwood, in honor of Buffalo’s own, the late Rick James. The festivi ties continued on August 24th at MLK park. Commu nity service awards were one of the highlights of this year’s event. Bartell Willliams and Frank Merriweather III (public relations director for the Buffalo Criterion Newspaper, which is celebrating its 100th year anni versary) were the award recipients.
