Caesar Rometi Adams, 1933-2026

CAESAR ROMETI ADAMS

Caesar Adams entered into eternal rest peacefully on June 24th, 2026, at age 93, after a brief illness. He finally joined his beloved wife Rita after twenty-five years.

Caesar, fondly known as Uncle Caes, Christian or the Officer, was a loving father and grandfather, and a kind and generous friend. He will be lovingly remembered by his three children Faith, Denise and Andre, his son-in-law Patrick, daughter-in law Shernett and his grandchildren, Adam, Alaina, Leyland, Ashley and Cristian. Caesar is also survived by his brother Joshua Adams and sister in-law Mayfield Adams, his nieces and nephews and numerous other family members and friends.

A pillar of the Guyanese community, Caesar was a founding member of the Guyana Ex-Police Association Canada, serving as welfare officer for many years. He could also be seen greeting you with a smile as a ticket collector at the annual dinner dance.

Caesar lived a full and vibrant life enjoying the company of family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and his beloved Blue Jays. He also enjoyed music of all genres which he would play for his own enjoyment as well as entertaining his friends whenever they got together.

Caesar was loved, respected and admired by all who knew him for his gentlemanly ways, his love of his family and friends, his kind and generous nature, and his youthfulness and zest for life.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

May his soul rest in peace.

The Merriweather Family sends condolences to Caesar Adams’ family
