Council Member Rivera Calling for Police Oversight Meeting to Further Discuss Resolution of Investigation into Granville Incident

Buffalo, N.Y. -  Niagara District Council Member David Rivera has issued a statement following reports that the Buffalo Police Department has concluded its investigation into the DJ Granville incident:

“The Buffalo Police Benevolent Association has announced the department’s conclusion to the internal investigation regarding the officers who responded to the DJ Granville collision incident in April of 2024.  While the Buffalo Police Department is reporting that the officers have been disciplined appropriately, I am asking Council Staff to schedule a Police Oversight Committee meeting in the coming weeks to discuss this further."
