Happy 42nd pastoral anniversary to Dr. James Blackburn

Happy 42nd pastoral anniversary to Dr. James Blackburn, pastor of The Greater Hope Baptist Church, located at 8 Verplank place. Dr. Blackburn recognition ceremony services included guest appearances from several local pastors, who preached profound sermons—Rev. E.J. Jackson (Friendship Baptist Church), Rev. Sam Harris (Pleasant Grove Baptist Church) and Rev. Dennis Lee (Hopewell Baptist Church)—and Reverend Mark Blue (2nd Baptist Church), Rev. Milton French (Second Temple Church), and Dr. Terrell (Jerusalem Baptist Church) gave lectures. Dr. John Williams was the guest revivalist. A banquet will conclude the month-long celebration on July 10th at Jazzboline Restaurant, located at 5010 Main Street. Donations are $40. For more information call the church at (716) 883-3228.
