Hoban Calls for Amherst Town Tax Cut and Outlines Budget Goals
Dennis Hoban, an endorsed Conser vative candidate for Amherst Supervi sor called today for a 5% reduction of the tax levy. The current Amherst town budget is $ 164,900.000. His plan will reduce town taxes by implementing four decisive and overdue actions:
If Erie County wants the Westwood facility, a proper lease should cover the $ 7.8 million dollars. Amherst taxpayers paid for it.
Supervisor Brian Kulpa has added a multitude of unnecessary patronage positions. These non-civil service jobs add approximately $ 2 million dollars to the budget annually.
