Joyce Hargrave Shelton

Funeral services were held Saturday August 16 for Joyce Hargrave Shelton at Friendship Baptist Church, at 402 Clinton St. Joyce was a longtime businesswoman. She operated Hargraves New York News, at 282 East Ferry St, where she carried many periodicals, including the Buffalo Criterion Newspaper. She also carried a variety of women’s church hats. The staff of the Buffalo Criterion Newspaper and the Merriweather Family extend our prayers to the Hargrave-Shelton Families. The Merriweather and Hargrave-Shelton have had a 70-year friendship.
