Mayor Scanlon Unveils $17 Million Street Repaving Investment

Upgrading More Than 190 Streets Across the City

Buffalo, NY — Buffalo Mayor Christopher P. Scanlon announced a $17 million infrastructure investment which includes milling and paving more than 190 streets across the City of Buffalo.

“Investing in our infra structure is one of the most important initiatives under my administration,” said Mayor Christopher P. Scanlon. “This year’s repaving program and $17 million investment is one of the most comprehensive in recent memory and reflects our commitment to delivering improved, safer, and more reliable roads for everyone who lives, works, and drives in Buffalo.”

The 2025 repaving pro gram is funded through the City of Buffalo’s cap ital budget and state/federal infrastructure funds. The schedule for paving locations is subject to weather conditions and other construction-related factors.

Department of Public Works Commissioner Nate Marton said, “This year’s city-wide paving program delivers on the Mayor’s commitment to impact and improve all areas of the city, as new roadways surfaces improve both the quality of travel for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians and the quality of life for our residents. We are appreciative of Mayor Scanlon and the Common Council for their support and funding to improve Buffalo’s infra structure, and of course to our federal and state partners as well.”

Milling began last week in the City’s Mas ten District, with paving already underway and set to continue, weather permitting.
