MORGAN WOODSON-WERDER

On October 15, 2025, Morgan Woodson-Werder, a New York State Veterans Benefits Advisor, and the Service Officer for Jesse Clipper Post No. 430 were the featured presenters at the Post’s meeting.

Morgan has 14 years of experience providing valuable advice to veterans regarding various VA benefits, including service-connected disability compensation, non-service connected pensions, and burial benefits. During her presentation, she explained the process for filing and reopening VA claims, emphasizing that Supplemental Claims must be submitted within 1 year of a denial to retain the original claim date.

The members found Morgan Woodson-Werder’s presentation to be invaluable, and Post Commander Cheryl Colman Thomas asked that she return as soon as possible.
