National Therapy Animal Day

Laurence Dupre, David Covert (Dog handler) and Mindy (Therapy dog). They make visits to schools, hospitals and libraries, for children’s Storytime, etc.

Laurence Dupre Erie County Legislator of the 1st District declared National Therapy Animal Day on April 30, 2026, in Erie County at The North Park Library. This day was created by Pet Partners to bring comfort and healing to those in need such as veterans, seniors, students and patients. This declaration acknowledges National Therapy Animal Day in Erie County.
