Registration Now Open for Youth Auditions for “The Nutcracker” Presented by Neglia Ballet in Partnership with Shea’s & the BPO

Does your child dream of taking the stage at Shea’s Buffalo Theatre dancing to the live music of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra? That dream can become a reality this holiday season, as Neglia Ballet opens youth auditions for its beloved holiday tradition, The Nutcracker.

Auditions will be held Sunday, September 13, 2026, with more than 70 roles available for young performers. Interested families must pre-register by August 31; space is limited. Presented by Neglia Ballet Artists on the historic Shea’s Buffalo Theatre stage with live accompaniment by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, The Nutcracker has become a cherished fixture of the holiday season.

The Nutcracker will take the Shea’s Buffalo stage for three performances, Friday, December 4 through Sunday, December 6. Tickets for performances are on sale now.
