The Buffalo Bills are five and one but the major weakness on this team is its defense. Some are saying that Jim Leonard, the current defensive coordinator, is in the hot seat but I blame the lack of experience on Brandon Beane. Most people have forgotten that this is the first time Brandon Beane has overseen football operations along with a principal owner who really does not know the game of the National Football League running this organization.
They both agreed to hire first-time head coach Joe Brady, but nobody advised him that if you hire a defensive coordinator that runs a different defense, it could cause this team to struggle. This is the conversation that I believe needed to take place between Joe Brady and Brandon Beane. The lack of experience of both is the result of the hiring of Jim Leonard, who runs a different type of defensive scheme, and we are seeing the growing pains of this unit.
I believe Brandon Beane should have advised Joe Brady to hire someone that could better utilize the players that we have on second contracts awarded to them for their play in a different scheme. Joe Brady should have hired somebody that would better fit this group of personnel with which you are stuck.
