Buffalo Bills are finishing games

The Buffalo Bills are finishing close games rather than losing contested games this year. The hometown team stands in first place in the AFC east at 4-1 with their only loss at home to the New England Patriots. Unlike previous years the team is winning games that in the past they would have lost. Also, one of the most important aspects of this turnaround is head coach Joe Brady who continues to believe in his players despite some early season concerns.
None larger than the fumble problems of James Cook III who has fumbled in every game this season despite running extremely well but you cannot put the ball on the ground. This problem must be solved immediately before the team moves forward.
The one thing that I’ve noticed is that defenders are punching the ball out in close quarters and the brainchild of this franchise must work with this talented running back or all the good he does will be in vain if he keeps putting the ball on the ground. The other concern that I have is the project defense of Jim Leonard which has been inconsistent the entire season. The reason this team is 4-1 is because the offense is one of the best in the league.
The problem is that there are games where the offense will struggle and will need the defense to get stops. This defense will get better, but I am starting to wonder if they have the right personnel in place to be successful at this point.
