Buffalo Bills March towards Playoffs

The Buffalo Bills march towards the NFL post season tournament with a terrific opportunity to advance deep into the playoffs. The one factor is a problem that Coach McDermott has, which he has consistently made us aware of is stopping the run. The Bills are one of the worst in the NFL at stopping the run all year long. The lowly Cleveland Browns took advantage of the defensive weakness of the 2025 Bills by posting 160 yards averaging 5.2 yards per carry.

The main reason being that the hometown team barely beat the Browns in a game dominated by the run. Luckily, the Bills had the best player on the field again in the form of James Cook who had another outstanding game showing the rest of the league that he has taken his game to another level this year.

The last thing I would like to mention is that we are approaching the last two games played at Orchard Park. This writer has covered the Buffalo Bills for thirty one straight years with only two current media people with more time but once again all the local sports people ignore our significance in our coverage of this franchise. This begins with the ownership group who not only refuses to advertise with us but does not steer the many NFL sponsors in our direction.

This is a league-wide problem for Black media outlets who have helped to make this league into what it is today but receive little sponsorship opportunities. After George Floyd, the league started the Love first campaign and sang “ Lift every Voice and Sing” during the pre game ceremony of the Super Bowl but failed to encourage their many sponsors to advertise with Black Media outlets that cover their thirty-two franchises on a regular basis. Once again economic window dressing by a league that continues to practice unfair economics especially here in Western New York.
