First two games defense has struggled

The first two games won by the Bills showed the defense struggle at times. This issue is expected because for the last nine years this organization has drafted players to fit a 4-3 scheme. After the departure of Sean McDermott and the hiring of Joe Brady, change became inevitable on the defensive side of the ball, with the hiring of Jim Leonard as defensive coordinator.

Currently, this defense is allowing 368 yards a game and is ranked #27 out of 32 teams. Honestly at this level it would be very hard for this team to reach its goal to win the Super Bowl in 2027. This is the only destination for this franchise, reason being that the ownership made the change at the head coach position. Terry Pegula was asked if this was the goal and he stated, “it would be unrealistic to expect that.” Unfortunately, 8- 9 years in the playoffs and you felt it was time to make a change: it’s Superbowl or bust.

The Bills have only one goal, and that is a Superbowl appearance, or they need to start looking at the possibility of moving Josh Allen while his stock will give you the returns to keep this franchise winning. If you think Brandon Beane is not weighing that issue you are fooling yourself. The defense right now in this scheme is not good enough and its lapses in the first two games will not get you to your goals.

Winning masks deficiency but let this franchise lose a few games and you will see the flip of the Bills Mafia towards this change that brought us a new defensive scheme.
