The NFL and how they ended the playing Careers of Colin Kaepernick, and Eric Reid

By Pat Freeman, The Mighty O’Ba

The careers of Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid have been completely derailed by the owners of the National Football League, because they peacefully demonstrated against Police Brutality and drew the ire of the twice impeached former President Donald J Trump. After witnessing what his leadership entails in this country, you under stand the public sentiment results from a segment of this country that feels its losing control.

The irrational action of this segment, along with many of the elected political officials that support Trump, is the reason the owners chose to make these two the sacrificial lambs, by ending their careers. Kaepernick most recently had a tryout with the Las Vegas Raiders, in which many have stated he was just awful. When you have not competed in a game since 2016 your edge in playing the game at this level begins to erode.

Eric Reid signed a more recent deal in Carolina in 2019 but was released two seasons ago, despite playing at an extremely elevated level. What happens is the edge that makes you a pro begins to erode back to normalcy, and you can no longer compete at that elite level. The owners must take total responsibility for this, but the environment created by the irrational leadership of one of the worst leaders in this nation’s history.

The Trump movement has continued to stroke a behavior in this country that is beyond danger ous, but I believe is the most concerning domes tic challenge facing this nation.
