The Story of the year has been injuries.

The watch word of this Bills season has been injuries, and they have affected this year because they are coming to starters each week. Many of your best players such as Taron Johnson, Christian Benford, Ed Oliver, Dalton Kincaid, AJ Epenesa and others have made this one of the most difficult seasons for Coach Sean McDermott. It is hard to play complimentary football when your roster looks like a mash unit.

The effort that we saw in South Florida was one of the worst I ‘ve seen this year. The problem that I see this year beginning with the defense has been a lack of talent. Currently, the Bills have some guys with potential, but to call on them as full time rotational starters has been terrible in multiple games, including some that the Bills have won. I think one area that has hurt the defense this year especially, is the lack of experienced backups, who could step in and replace Ed Oliver, and along with Daquan Jones, who has been battling a calf issue, which is usually a precursor for an Achilles injury.

The offensive issue rests with Joe Brady’s inability to utilize his offensive weapons properly. He has been too predictable this season, causing the offense too to struggle the entire year. It took him 9 weeks to attempt multiple passes to James Cook in a game, and they were easy reads for the Miami Defense, led by former Bills defensive line coach Anthony Weaver.

Many of you are blaming Brandon Beane, who should accept some blame, but I think Joe Brady has had a mediocre season as the Bills play caller, whom I believe has been bailed out by Josh Allen the entire season, and could be on the hot seat rather than interviewing for head coach positions as this season goes forward. The hometown team must bounce back quickly against some of the league’s best teams in the next few weeks.
