Mayor invites Buffalo seniors to get active at 2026 Golden Games & Health Fair

Free citywide event will feature games, wellness activities, and community resources for older adults

Mayor Sean Ryan and the City of Buffalo Department of Community Services are inviting Buffalo’s seniors to participate in the 2026 Senior Golden Games & Health Fair, taking place from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 17 at Martin Luther King Jr. Park.

“This event is a chance for older adults from across Buffalo to get moving, enjoy some friendly competition and spend time with friends and neighbors,” Mayor Ryan said. “Building a Better Buffalo means ensuring residents of every age have opportunities to stay active, engaged, and connected to their community.”

The free, citywide event will feature pickleball, bocce, cornhole, walking relays, bingo, Zumba, and other activities for participants of varying interests and ability levels. All participants will receive a T-shirt and lunch, as well as a chance to win raffle prizes and medals for the top participants.

A health fair will also connect seniors with local health and wellness organizations, community resources, and information to guide attendees on how to lead active, healthy lives.
