Church Remembers Deacon Heyward Patterson

Deacon Heyward “Teeny” Patterson

Supt. Russell C. Bell, pastor of State Tabernacle COGIC and the congregation located at 234 Glenwood Avenue will always pause to remember our beloved Deacon Heyward Patterson and all the victims of the senseless racially motivated violence the infected our community, 4 years ago on 5/14/2022.

“It is important that we (community) continue to heal through love, peace, and forgiveness as hatred and bigotry appears to be the order of the day from the White House to our house.” Said Supt. Bell.

On May 17, 2026, during the morning service Supt. Bell and the congregation will pause to remember all the victims who perished 4years ago. The community is welcome to attend this and every service at State Tabernacle COGIC.
