1st African Cultural Day

The ITA commemorated Iyanita Yeye Oyanike’s 30th Eku Odum Saturday, with the 1st African Cultural Day. The event was held at the King Urban Life Center at 938 Genesse St. Special guest was Professor James Small, internationally known Pan African educator, activist, lecturer, and Priest of Oya. The program’s theme was “African Sacred Science Tool for Building Our Community.” Also featured were performances by Access to Afreeka Drum and Dance by Empress Ell Vie.
