City of Buffalo Delays Winter Parking Regulations Until December 1, 2025
Buffalo, NY – Due to favorable weather conditions and no current operational need to implement winter parking restrictions through November, the City of Buffalo is delaying the start of winter parking regulations — including alternate parking and bus route restrictions — until December 1, 2025.
To help residents plan ahead, the Department of Parking Enforcement provides the following updates:
Overnight Parking Permitted: Parking on designated bus routes will continue to be permitted between 1:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. until further notice.
Winter Parking Regulations: Enforcement of alternate parking and other winter-specific rules will not begin until December 1 at the earliest, pending weekly weather assessments.
All Other Parking Regulations: All standard parking rules remain in effect.
“We’re adjusting our winter parking schedule to match the conditions we’re seeing in the foreseeable forecast,” said Buffalo Mayor Christopher P. Scanlon. “We will continue monitoring the forecast and make additional adjustments if needed.”
The city will continue conducting weekly reviews of weather patterns and operational needs leading up to December.
