Electrical system upgrades celebrated by Erie County

Erie County Executive, Mark Poloncarz, recently joined Department of Public Workers Commissioner, William Geary and representatives from the 34 Group and e2 Companies, to accept a check in the amount of $2,493,951 as a federal rebate check for investments made to create a modern and more efficient power system for the Rath Building.

Located at 95 Franklin St. in downtown Buffalo, the Rath Building houses various county departments and approximately 1,200 of Erie County’s roughly 5,500 total employees. The building is open on weekdays and is used by residents to conduct business, including Department of Motor Vehicle transactions, property tax payments and the filing of temporary benefit assistance forms.
