Kids Activities at Merriweather Library

The Frank E. Mer riweather Library located at 1327 Jefferson Avenue will have vari ous kid-related activi ties in October. Ms. Heather Bermingham is the children/ young adult librarian at this branch and has come up with fall activities for kids during the month, beginning with Wednesday 10/1/25 starting from 6pm – 7:30pm. Kids can come in and try out some of the different fall and Halloween crafts, and create their own fall masterpiece.
Thursday 10/16/25 and Thursday 10/ 23/25 from 4pm – 5pm there will be kid’s theatre classes sponsored by “2nd Gen Theatre Acad emy. These classes are free, and no experience is necessary. Kids can sign up for one session or attend both sessions. Registration is required by signing up at www.secondgeneration the atre.com or emailing 2ndgenthreatre.com. The library staff can also assist kids with the online application as well.
Wednesday October 22, 2025, from 6:30 – 7:30, will be pumpkin painting and decorating. Ms. Bermingham is asking that kids of all ages come with an adult and pumpkins are for kids only. Registration for this event is required by calling the Merriweather Branch Library at 716 883-4418 or stop in at the circulation desk.
Monday 10/27/2025 will be the Halloween mini golf game which has returned to the library. Kids can come and play 9 holes of golf during library hours. No registration is required. Ms. Bermingham and the staff look forward to kids having fun at this library that is a safe environment for all.
Library hours for Frank E. Merriweather Branch: Monday, Friday, and Saturday 10am – 6pm. Tuesday, Wednes day, and Thursday 12pm – 8pm. Sunday 12pm – 5pm
