Public Comment Period Open For Art In Public Places 2026 Master Public Art Plan

The Erie County Department of Environment & Planning, on behalf of the Erie County Art in Public Places Committee, has prepared a Draft 2026 Erie County Master Public Art Plan. The document outlines the Committee’s goals and objectives relative to the selection, commission, placement, and maintenance of public art projects. Citizens can provide input on the 2026 Erie County Master Public Art Plan.

The Draft Master Public Art Plan is available for public review at the Erie County Department of Environment & Planning, Edward A. Rath County Office Building, 95 Franklin Street, Room 1064, Buffalo, NY, and online at www.erie.gov/publicart. A public hearing to receive comments on the Draft Plan will be held Tuesday, January 27 at 4:00 p.m., Burchfield Penney Art Center at Buffalo State University, 1300 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo, NY.

Written comments will be accepted through January 27, 2026 and may be submitted to Colette Balisteri, Assistant Project Coordinator, Erie County Department of Environment & Planning, 95 Franklin Street, 10th Floor, Buffalo, NY 14202, or by email to publicart@erie.gov.
