The Burgard Alumni Association to Host Homecoming Week 2025, October 13 -19 Celebrating Unity, Culture, and School Pride
Buffalo, NY – October 2025 – The Burgard Alumni Association is proud to announce the return of Homecoming Week 2025, a celebration that honors Burgard’s legacy while building a strong bridge between past, present, and future Bulldogs. Inspired by the spirit of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) homecomings, this year’s events will highlight unity, culture, mentorship, and Bulldog pride.
Advocacy & Impact
In addition to celebrating tradition, the Alumni Association will hold an Internship and Career Fair for current and former students and introduce an Advocacy Agenda outlining goals to strengthen Burgard High School. This initiative aims to define solutions, promote sustainable change, and advance opportunities for students both in academic and career pathways.
“Homecoming is more than just a celebration – it’s a call to action,” said Al Partker Alumni Association President’s. “We’re restoring pride, culture, and tradition at Burgard, while creating pathways for today’s students to succeed tomorrow.”

Tuesday October 14, 2025- The Student Body will Hold Student Elections
Wednesday, October 15, 2025 – 8:30AM Alumni Welcome
Alumni kick off Homecoming Week by welcoming students at the start of the school day, reinforcing the connection between past and present Bulldogs.
Thursday, October 16, 2025 – 10:00Am Press Conference, Internship & Career Fair
A career-building opportunity for current students and recent graduates to meet employers from diverse programs, including Automotive Repair Technology, Welding, Business & Technology (Programming & Accounting), Virtual Enterprise, CAD & CAM Robotics, Building Management, Graphic Design, and Art. Opportunities include:
· Career Exploration Internships (CEIP)
· General Education Work Experience (GEWEP)
· Cooperative CTE Work Experience (CO-OP)
· College Credit Programs
· Job Shadowing
Friday, October 17, 2025 – Pep Rally 12:00PM & Networking Social 5:00PM
Alumni join students for a spirited pep rally featuring Burgard’s Sports Hall of Fame inductees. Later that evening, graduates and friends gather for a social networking at Deco Lounge.
Saturday, October 18, 2025 – Homecoming Game 10:00AM & Sneaker Ball 6:00PM
Festivities begin with a motorcade from Burgard (9:00AM) to All High Stadium, followed by pre- and post-game tailgating at Burgard. The day concludes with the Homecoming Sneaker Ball for students chaperoned by Alumni at Burgard High School – a night of music, dancing, and Bulldog pride.
Sunday, October 19, 2025 – Reflection & Celebration 2:00PM
The week closes with church services, the Annual Alumni Meeting, the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and a Memorial Brunch at Woods and Wine, honoring alumni who are no longer with us.
