The NFL 2025-2026 season has just started, and there is still one very certain thing; the Buf falo Bills are still the best team in the AFC east. The first reason, this early season analogy is stabil ity of the organization under the leadership of Sean McDermott, who has proven that he is one of the most capable organization leaders in the league. The football operation of this franchise was put together by Sean McDermott and has become one of the best in the NFL.

Now there are many who would like to say he should be on the hot seat for not getting to a Super Bowl, but I say to you that only one losing record in his ninth season here in Western New York is out standing. While under standing that franchises’ personnel turnover in this sport is remarkably high, and the violent nature of it creates challenges from week to week. The health of players causes coaches to make adjustments based on the ability of players that are available for each game or must bring players in or up from the practice squad. Each week and day, throughout an exception ally long season, there is a test for any coach in the NFL.

Currently, I would say that Coach McDermott is a top five head coach and NFL executive. The reason I added an NFL executive is because he put this organization in place top to bottom. You will never hear him state these facts, but the Buffalo Bills football operation is Sean McDermott’s, he should be given credit not only for the team performance on the field, but the entire operation which has made Western New York’s Buffalo Bills one of the best organizations in pro sports.
