At the time of this article, the Buffalo Bills are 3-0 for the present year. Coach Sean McDer mott’s record is now 89 wins – 45 losses, with a winning percentage of around 64%, making him one of the most successful head coaches in the NFL. He is currently ranked 52 all time and can tie the legendary Buck Shaw— Eagles and 49ers head coach— with 90 wins with his next victory. Coach McDermott came in with a philosophy, which stands out with his players and the entire staff of the football operation; people need to realize that these are the new glory days, with another chance to compete for a championship.
The greatest decision was the selection of Josh Allen despite what many were saying, including myself at the time. Because Josh has become can be directly attributed to our head coach, who basically put together an elite quarterback in this league, along with Lamar Jackson and Pat Mahomes. Organizational success can be totally attributed to our head coach, and when the team has failed, he always stands up. This league was moving away from markets like Buffalo.
I can honestly say that the coach is responsible for pro football still being in Western New York, and I believe the very next person entered on the wall of fame should be Sean McDermott and Cornelius Bennett. NFL franchises average 30-35% roster turnover each year, and few franchises can say they made the playoffs 7 out of 8 years, along with 5 straight divisional titles. Congratulations Coach McDermott on your accomplishments on and off the field.
