Could this be the Year?”

By Pat Freeman, The Mighty O’Ba

The Buffalo Bills and New England, what a game! The Bills won another game that they should have lost but the players and coaches made the right halftime adjustments that led to one of the greatest comebacks this year. This team may not be the best team of the McDermott/ Beane era but could be the most resilient. The coaching staff has made the proper in-game adjustments all season, which has led to multiple comebacks and sometimes losses, but each year offers its own challenges.

The good thing is that the Bills have a high probability of making the playoff tournament and the confidence of knowing they can come back from any deficit is a plus, which could carry this franchise deep into the playoffs once again, no matter where games are played. The division is still up for grabs because the Patriots have a very tough game against the Baltimore Ravens, who could very well win their division and make the playoffs, also.

This is a weird year in the NFL, which could have two teams in the Super Bowl that were not figured should be there. The Bills still must continue to win, especially for the next two weeks because by the last game, you want everything to be settled. The Bills’ last game is like a preseason contest, versus the Jets. The only significance of this contest is it will be the last game played in the old stadium.

The one area that will keep Coach McDermott up at night is the defense of this team, which has been up and down all season, but if it can get games coming down the stretch out of Matt Milano as with Sunday, they have a chance. He absolutely played his best football of the year when it was most needed
