The Final Stretch Run Has Arrived

The Buffalo Bills have entered the final stretch of the season and still have the hope of winning the division. If you would have told me at the beginning of the year that this week’s match up in New England would be a huge match up with division and playoff implications, I would have said “No possible way.” This season has been ideal for parity in the NFL with any week supplying upsets. The hometown team has continued to remain competitive despite teams that have slumped this season.
Despite the criticisms of many, including myself, this organization is ranked as one of the best in the league under the McDermott /Beane regime. If the Bills can get into the tournament anything can happen with a franchise quarterback like Josh Allen. The problem is that the Bills have had injuries this year which has hurt them for the first time during this regime’s tenure. It is hard to do well when you do not know who is suiting up from week to week.
This has been the first year that the Bills under McDermott/Beane have had so many issues with players staying healthy. The other bug which has hurt the Bills are turnovers at the wrong time especially in close games. Turnovers are the one thing that drives head coaches crazy because you are now beating yourself.
Surely running back James Cook after demanding a new contract is going to have to address his recent fumbles during games. One thing you know for sure is that the head coach will address this issue, especially now that we are in harsh weather months.
