Buffalo Bills training camp update
By Pat Freeman, The Mighty O’Ba
The Buffalo Bills begin their quest for championship once again from Rochester New York with one of the best rosters in the NFL. This battle tested franchise has been on the cusp of a Super Bowl berth over the last few years. The franchise has one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, led by All pro Dion Dawkins, the long-time left side tackle of the team. There are always bumps and bruises coming out of training camp, but this year there seems to be a little more than we have been seeing.

The good thing is that none of them seem to be serious. The largest concerns are Spencer Brown (back) and Dalton Kincaid (knee). These issues for these players have happened before and could be lingering through the season. Both players have good back ups, though losing any starter alters what teams can do week to week. Defensively, the Bills have a list of injuries at linebackers and the defensive backfield, but none have been declared season ending at this point.
The most critical position is that of quarterback and so far, Josh Allen looks particularly good, but this is practice. It is hard to give an hon est assessment of what each practice’s intricate goals are because most head coaches use this strategy to grade the performance of each player who is trying to make the team.
Over the years, I have witnessed so-called outstanding practice and preseason game performances that have resulted in that player being praised in the media but was released by the coaches. So do yourself a favor and realize that most major media outlets attempt to grade training camp per formances rather than take from someone who has been doing this for 31 years with the knowl edge that things change from week to week in this league.
