46th annual Family History Dinner hosted by the Afro-American Historical Association of the Niagara Frontier Inc.

These photos were taken at the 46th annual Family History Dinner hosted by the Afro-American Historical Association of the Niagara Frontier Inc. held May 7th at Emerson School of Hospitality, 86 W. Chippewa St. The guest presenters were Dr. Barbara Seals Nevergold and Tala Harden. Their talk was focused on “And A Shot Rang Out:” Andrew Jackson Smitherman’s Buffalo connection. Dinner chairs were Gary Crump and Veronica Golden. Ms. Golden also served as Mistress of Ceremonies. The Honorees were Lillie V. Wiley-Upshaw, Friends of Freedom Park, and the Ancient African Antiquities Research of America. Music was provided by Johnathon Boyd. The Invocation and Benediction was led by Pastor Larry Donalson of Greater Works Fellowship. Charles Brandy is President.
